Christmas!

Who doesn't absolutely love Christmas?!? This year we were able to go and spend tons of time with friends and family. From the first day we got there we took off at a running start! Ted & I decided to hop in the car early...we had it all planned out so that mom would go out to dinner with dad and my brothers family. We walked in shortly after they got their appetizers, needless to say mom was very surprised and it was quite entertaining. Friday was our next busy day. Since I was a little girl we have had what we call "toy day". Grandma gives each kid some money and we take all the kids to the store and they get to pick out their toys from Grandma. Harley got a doll and some stacking stars *kinda like stacking rings but cooler* and Riley got a chef barbie. Sunday came along and Ted sang the prelude in church and we had family dinner.
And then Monday, Monday was our annual Ginger bread house contest. Every year we do this as well!!! It is a fantastic time full of friends and family, too much food and old disgusting candy that is used for the sole purpose of decorating these houses. Everyone draws a number and we are placed into teams we then have 45 minutes, to decorate the houses my parents make the night before. It was a blast and no matter who wins 1st place it's always a good time. After several days of hanging out with our nephews (Braedyn and Prestyn) Christmas finally came. We enjoyed the present opening but the best part was simply being with family the whole day. We had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Collins house where Dad's smokey turkey was the biggest hit. All of the excitement was a little overload for the children and we spent the next few days unsuccessfully trying to get a break from everything busy. Needless to say it was fun spending time with family. We got home to Utah last night are we are excited to be back and get ready for a new semester at school for Ted and for Harley learning how to walk!

December!

Well December seems to be flying by already...It's hard to believe it is already the 14th and Christmas day is only 11 days away! Ted and I are looking very forward to going down to CO and spending time with family and friends. We decided not to put up a tree this year mostly because when we got ours out half of the pieces were missing, and since we were only going to be here a little while longer we decided to do with out and just enjoy my parents tree that much more. As for the fun in the Reedy zoo.
Ted is busy with Finals. His last one will be Friday and I am sure he is absolutely thrilled about that. Next semester seems to be showing signs of a little more calmness. He did get the 2nd lead in a theater up in Orem. They are doing "All shook up" which is kind of a musical tribute to Elvis Presley as far as I can tell.
I am busy finishing Christmas presents and playing with Harley. I am also hoping to get back in school come January assuming everything falls into place. Asfor Harley she is doing great. We did however go through a "lovely" few weeks of someone in the house being sick starting with her and the tummy flu. Now that we finally have her over that she is pulling herself up on everything chewing on the coffee table, and babbling up a storm. On good days you can understand DaDa, baba, and if she's feeling really fine she may even throw a mama in there for you.
Well that's about all for now...We hope everyone has a great Christmas!!
Much love,
Ted, Megyn, Harley, Finny & Carter

Yesterday Harley decided she was having nothing to do with a nap and this is what I walked into

Very Happy Un Birthday to Harley!

Life has been busy the last little bit as usual. At the end of October my parents came out to see Ted in Don Giovanni, and it was an awesome visit, full of Chili cook offs, BYU football games, and relaxation. It was great to have them out and lets face it mom doing all of my laundry was a total bonus!!! haha

Ted is loving school. Next week he has his first recital at BYU, it is not a required performance, but he is looking very forward to it. He is also working on Opera scenes at BYU which will be put on sometime next semester. He has his fall concert with BYU singers tomorrow night which, thanks to wonderful friends who are watching Harley I will be able to go. Ted loves school but will also tell you he hates the home work. He has finally been able to change his schedule to be able to come home a little bit earlier 3 nights a week, which means we not only get to spend more time with him but he gets to help put Harley to bed.

As for me life has been great, Ted and I went to Madam Butterfly up in Salt Lake a few weeks ago which was pretty good. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving even though we are unable to get back to the Springs this year. We will be spending it with my moms best friend, and my childhood best friend here in Utah. It will be different and I know I will definitely miss the enormous amounts of food my dad makes, doing a ridiculous puzzle with the family and playing whatever new game my nephews have come up with.

Well on to little miss Harley,TODAY SHE IS 7 MONTHS OLD!!! She has been growing leaps and bounds. Within the last month she now has two teeth!!! I have tried to get a picture to post of them but they are on the bottom and are hard to get a pic of. She is scooting and rolling absolutely everywhere, one minute she is in the middle of the living room the next she is literally in the kitchen or dining room. She has started to pull herself up in her crib, her favorite thing to pull herself up with is Finny. Him being the patient dog he is sits there for as long as she wants to hang on. She babbles and sings, laughs and grins. She makes waking up an absolute blast with her huge grin when you go and get her in the morning. And night time is grand when you get to put her to bed and she has her little baby snores.

Life in the Reedy household seems to be always busy and pretty much like a revolving door, but we would not change it for the world.

Much Love,
Megyn, Ted, Harley,Finny and Carter
