December

The last few weeks have seemed to fly by yet again...and as a result our blog has severely suffered, sorry about that!
Since the last time I wrote was October I guess I should back up a little. For Halloween Harley was a lady bug, she went trick or treating to a few of the neighbors houses and thought the idea of ringing someones door bell and getting candy was down right amazing *can't say I blame her* We had our good friends Amy & Shea and Tausha & Steve over for a fun night of games and candy.
Novemeber seemed to not even really happen in fact I'm pretty sure there were only about 12 days of it and not 30.
Ted was able to go to New York on a school sponsored trip *don't worry I didn't know colleges randomly took people on all expense paid trips either* he was able to go to a few auditions and see 3 diffrent operas. You will have to ask him which operas these were since yet again they are in another language and I have no idea what he is saying. He said he had a great time, he really enjoyed New York but seemed to favor Boston the most which is where one of his auditions was.
While Ted was off playing in New York Harley and I went down to Colorado to visit the rest of the family. My mom being the wonderful person she is hopped on a plane and a day later we drove to Colorado together. While an 8 hour drive does not generally seem like a big deal I really was not wanting to do this bymyself with a 19 month old, a dog and a cat. So needless to say I am quite grateful she was willing and able to come along and help me, especially since some of the trip was nasty roads and weather.
We were able to spend Thanksgiving with our family, and my dad made delightful food that we all ate far too much of. But then again it wouldn't be Thanksgiving if you didn't over eat and then a few hours later eat some more while watching football!
I'm sure December will be just as busy as the last two months with finals for Ted and new things to discover and climb on for Harley.
Well for now that is all. Enjoy some pictures, and we will update again soon!

Much Love,
Megyn, Ted, Harley, Finny & Carter

October...

It seems like just a few short weeks ago we were trying to find ways to beat the heat. Now we are looking for matching boots and mittens.
Life seems to be speeding by and it’s hard to believe that in a few short weeks it will be Halloween.

The three of us have been pretty busy as usual.
Ted is getting ready for the opera to open, they are performing “The tales of Hoffman” I really can’t tell you what it is about; he mostly walks around the house singing and speaking in French. Once in a while I will catch words such as oui, amour, no, gloire. But since this is the basic extent of my French those are about the only words I understand. Ted will also be going on a trip with BYU for auditions. I know he is looking very forward to that.

Harley is grand; she is saying more and more words daily. Some of her favorites are:
Mama, Dada, Hug, Kiss, Dog, Finn, Cat (along with saying this word she MEOWS) Star, Nose ( she will show you where yours is) stuck, no no no, Yeah, ok, potty, snack, milk, button, and there are many more but for now this will work.
Harley has also entered the world of nursery, and she loves it the little songs they sing and playing with toys. She comes home with cute little drawings *ok so they are scribbles* and she loves to point at the pictures of Jesus and tell us who he is.

I am loving being an at home mommy still, Harley and I get to play trucks, read books, climb on furniture and run outside when it’s nice. I’m not sure of another job where you get hugs and kisses as payment and crayons and finger paint is a must.
We hope everyone is doing great, and during the new fall season you are able to find your hats, coats and mittens and don’t worry if they don’t match it’s ok!
Much Love,
Megyn, Ted, Harley, Finny, & Carter
Everybody loves to draw with chalk!

Summer Fun

It has been a great time. Anyways for those of you who have been just itching to get an update...
Ted is still in summer school and that will wrap up here in the next couple of weeks,
unfortunately or fortunately which ever way you wanna look at it. He will go back for fall semester at the end of August, so he will not receive much of a break. He is working hard on learning his roll of Hoffman, in "The tales of Hoffman." I really don't know what he is saying anymore since all he seems to do is sing in french. I am highly considering investing in a french to English translation book.
Harley...Oh what can we say about Harley she is our ever going kiddo. She has now mastered opening doors and climbing onto EVERYTHING! We've been going to the pool a few times a week and she absolutely loves it, and I love it since it wears her out and we get to be outside. She is talking more and more everyday. Funny story moment:The other day Harley and I had to run into walmart to get a few things, I decided to get her a little bottle of Apple juice. I handed her the apple juice and next thing I know Harley SPIKES the apple juice onto the ground raises her hands in the air and yells "UCH DOWN!!!!!" and proceeds to clap her hands. It took me about 10 seconds to realize that every person in the isle is a man and is laughing and I'm not talking little giggles full on pointing and laughing. So what do I do at this point I start laughing too. Guess that's what ya get for trying to teach your kid to say "touch down" for the upcoming football season.
As for me I am doing great, I am loving the summer and all the time we are able to spend outside playing. Until next time .
Much love,
Megyn, Ted, Harley, Finny & Carter

Sneak Peak

Hey everyone it's a new month so that means a new post!!! Unfortunately blogger has been very slow when it comes to uploading pictures so for now I will only be posting a couple, until I have a little bit more time.
Quick update:

Ted has started his spring semester and is teaching voice lessons, he is also involved in the Spring Opera they are preforming Mozart's "The Impresario", he's got lots of lines, and sounds to me like maybe even two girlfriends in the opera haha!
Harley is running around daily keeping me on my toes, she has had a nasty cough the last few weeks so we have had to go back and forth to the doctor and after 2 different anti-biotics things seem to finally be looking up. She is getting back to our easy going happy little adventurer.
I am getting over the same nasty cold that Harley has. It has been miserable...other than that I've been playing house and watching Harley grow over the past couple of weeks. In that time she has added a lot of words to her vocabulary and even today when playing phone with Ted said "How are you?" It was so cute!!! Despite being sick all the time we are loving life!
