Christmas!

Who doesn't absolutely love Christmas?!? This year we were able to go and spend tons of time with friends and family. From the first day we got there we took off at a running start! Ted & I decided to hop in the car early...we had it all planned out so that mom would go out to dinner with dad and my brothers family. We walked in shortly after they got their appetizers, needless to say mom was very surprised and it was quite entertaining. Friday was our next busy day. Since I was a little girl we have had what we call "toy day". Grandma gives each kid some money and we take all the kids to the store and they get to pick out their toys from Grandma. Harley got a doll and some stacking stars *kinda like stacking rings but cooler* and Riley got a chef barbie. Sunday came along and Ted sang the prelude in church and we had family dinner.

And then Monday, Monday was our annual Ginger bread house contest. Every year we do this as well!!! It is a fantastic time full of friends and family, too much food and old disgusting candy that is used for the sole purpose of decorating these houses. Everyone draws a number and we are placed into teams we then have 45 minutes, to decorate the houses my parents make the night before. It was a blast and no matter who wins 1st place it's always a good time. After several days of hanging out with our nephews (Braedyn and Prestyn) Christmas finally came. We enjoyed the present opening but the best part was simply being with family the whole day. We had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Collins house where Dad's smokey turkey was the biggest hit. All of the excitement was a little overload for the children and we spent the next few days unsuccessfully trying to get a break from everything busy. Needless to say it was fun spending time with family. We got home to Utah last night are we are excited to be back and get ready for a new semester at school for Ted and for Harley learning how to walk!
