The last few weeks have been an absolute blurr, since about the 2nd week in August we have been going pretty much none stop. Ted and I packed up our house and moved everything over to Provo. But due to him having to finish up the Music Man we both went back to CO, him to Greeley and me Harley, Finny & Carter down to the Springs.
I got to spend a couple of days down in C.Springs enjoying time with my family. Playing with nephews, getting fabulous pedicures and generally just being spoiled.
Some friends of ours were nice enough to open up their home to Ted and allow him to borrow their extra bedroom. He seemed to have far too much fun watching their 4 kids play together and spend time with Royal and Alisa when he wasn't working.
I came up to Provo just a few days ago with my parents who helped me unpack my house. *THANKS MOM AND DAD* while we were traveling to Utah, I had the bright idea of putting Carter in a harness, he has done this before but never near a busy street. We were stopped getting gas and I asked my mom if she could take him out on his leash so he could walk around. I am sure many of you are laughing at this point thinking of a cat on a leash. As my mom was walking our kitty he hears a BIG truck pass by and proceeds to start wiggling and summersaulting in ways that just aren't natural. He darn near gets out of his harness, so my mom lets go of the leash. The next thing I hear is "OH CRAP" at this point 2 things go through my mind, #1 "Well its been nice knowing you Carter", and #2 "How long am I going to have to sit next to a busy high way and train tracks looking for my cat??" *Not very nice thoughts but hey what can I say it had been a long day* By some MIRACLE my mom caught the cat. Lets just say we had never seen him so excited to go back into his kennel. Also on this nice little adventure to Utah, Phinny got car sick and when I say car sick I don't mean just a little car sick. I mean full on throwing up in the back seat and every time we stop. It was a very enjoyable car ride. Anyhow we got here to Utah. My dad built a little fence for Finny Finn so he is now able to go outside and play. He also did lots of odd jobs around the house which was more then helpful! My mom helped me unpack lots of boxes, clean lots of cabinents, and generally just get the house ready. Ted got here Monday at 1am, and we are extremley happy to have him back.
Life has been crazy, but is shortly getting ready to become even more so. Ted starts school tomorrow and he is taking 16-18 Credit hours, teaching voice lessons, doing BYU Singers which is the top choir at BYU, and has a lead role in "Don Giovanni."
I am taking care of Harley and just trying to get used to Utah.
Now for Harley...she has been doing fantastic and is growing like a little weed. And as for exciting news she TURNED OVER!! She finally got over her being distracted by her thumb and turned over! I couldn't be more excited. She also seems to like her new room when you ask her if she likes it she seems to giggle. We wonder if she is just giggling at the silly expression on our face or if she likes it, but for now we will go with "she likes the room".
Anyways we will keep everyone updated with lots of pictures and as many fun stories as we can come up with. Until then we miss you all and hope life is treating you grand.
